The girl in the pic is NOT me.

My name is Hala. I sometimes disappear from social media then decide to resurrect myself. Virgo. Rock. Vegan. College student. Sister. Daughter. Friend. Miranda Kerr. Barbara Pavlin. Leonardo DiCaprio. Black and white pics. Snow. Woods. Leather jackets. Mohawks. My blog says everything you need to know about me. I like to be alone. I don't and never open up. All the other guys are looking at her like they are so happy to see her, even if she isn’t their daughter. One of my favorite pictures.

Aw omg, the facial expressions.

I completely understand why they’re all excited. You start to miss your loved ones so much that you feel happy when someone else gets to see theirs, even if you don’t get to see yours.

There aren’t any words to describe this one.

I will never not reblog this.

Bet they don’t look at Palestinian girls like that.

soldiers aren’t monsters. They’re just doing their job

normally i don’t reblog this kind of thing but i have no idea how this utter nonsense got on my dash without some sort of correction and that “don’t be ignorant” post really got to me because it feels like this sort of thing should be common knowledge by now so

here is also a more comprehensive visualisation of palestinian children under israel’s legal regime.
every version of this post should be reblogged with skepticism and corrections. your idiocy begins and ends when you rationalise, justify and misrepresent human suffering by posting cute pictures of soldiers carrying babies - with the caption “don’t be ignorant!” no less. this kind of mentality should not be mainstream, and you shouldn’t be okay with reblogging it. some soldiers are monstrous, because they’re doing monstrous work. any defense of it is unnecessary. your normalisation of a soldier’s work is acceptance of tyranny. it should be recognised when the orders they’re following are abhorrent.

When I was a kid an Israeli soldier gave me a piece of candy, I remember my dad insisting I should say “thank you” I did, after protesting. Less than a week after the very same faces came to my house for what they called a random routine search, they found one political magazine “Ironically it was published by the Israeli communist party”. They beat up my dad, banging his head against the metal doors before dragging him to detention, they also pushed my mom into the kitchen threaten to shoot her if she got out.
Later that day, while my dad was still in detention, we received the news about my 14 years old cousin, he was shot with an expanding bullets in the stomach, while he was still in surgery soldiers and their captains went into the OR and dragged the doctors screaming asking for an explanation why my cousin “he is a father of 4 now” still alive.
So, respectfully, Following order is the oldest excuse in the book, used by all kind of fascists including former SS officers who served in death camps!Go fuck yourself pigs!

So a picture of a bunch of soldiers smiling at some Israeli girl is supposed to make us forget that a three year old girl was killed just the other day for no reason?? Or that the Israeli military Operation Cast Lead caused many Gazan children to be the victims of post-traumatic stress disorder. A staggering 91.4% of children in Gaza showed moderate to very severe signs of PTSD. Only 1.3% showed no signs of PTSD one year after Cast Lead. Over 60% of Gaza’s population is under the age of 18, and those from the ages of 0-14 make up 43.5% of the population alone. That’s an entire generation but a few feel good smiley pictures like this makes it okay??? And notice how these images get SO much more attention than something like this picture
Israel regularly arrests (900 in 2012 alone) and imprisons Palestinian children (even American citizens) and even sexually abuses and assaults them. Palestinian children are regularlykidnapped, killed, Injured, maimed, and handicapped as a result of israeli aggression all the time without backlash and often the IDF soldiers are praised for eliminating “future terrorists” while the victims are consistently blamed. So spare me the “they aren’t monsters” argument when they’re terrorizing Palestinian children systematically all the time. I think mass arresting Palestinian childrenhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDaMlJVcMkAand torturing palestinian children in cagesis worse than anything any “monster” can do. ”Israel was the only country to systematically prosecute children in its military courts, and added that “no Israeli children come into contact with the military court system”.”

fuck the IDF

This is so cool. You normally only see lightning for a split second and it’s gone, but since this is looped, we see the beauty over and over

The more you look at it the cooler it is
